Originally a movie theatre, The Regent Theatre is one of the most iconic buildings in Melbourne. First opened in 1929, the theatre was a little slice of Hollywood's golden years right in the heart of Melbourne. It's glitz and glamour has endeared it to many locals and visitors to this beautiful city.

With a distinct European flavour, The Comedy Theatre stands on the historic site of the Hippodrome. The building resembles a Florence palace from the outside, while the inside has a distinct Spanish style.
Housing some of the best names in Comedy, the Comedy theatre is one of the most popular places to visit during Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Arguably the most popular theatre in Australia, the Princess Theatre has played host to some of the world's most successful stage productions. The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats and The Producers have all made triumphant performances here.
Built in 1886, the Princess Theatre is regarded by many as one of the most spectacular landmarks in Melbourne. Haunted by friendly ghost 'Federici', who died of a heart attack after a perfomance of Faust, a seat in the dress circle is traditionally left vacant for him.
