Melbourne Hall of Fame
Located at Federation Square, the world of Thoroughbred racing comes to life at the Australian Racing Museum. The museum has an amazing collection of memorabilia from the racing industry, as well as being home to the Australian Racing Hall of Fame.
Preserving the heritage of horse racing, and raising awareness of the racing industry within Australia is the aim of the Australian Racing Museum. Resplendent in colour and state of the art interactive attractions, you will need a few hours to explore the wonders inside this museum.
Hall of Fame inductees not only include trainers, jockeys and associates, but many horses as well. The most notable and recognised of these is of course Phar Lap, who is in fantastic company with Carbine, Makybe Diva and jockey's such as Darren Beadman and Damien Oliver.
Visitors to the Australian Racing Museum will be astounded by the unusual permanent features on display. Some of these include Carbine's skeleton (winner of the 1890 Melbourne Cup) and Tulloch's heart.
